Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior - 1989, 1990 - Taught at William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute and again at Babcock Center. This course taught self-defense, restraints, and methods to de-escalate aggressive behaviors.

Therapeutic Crisis Intervention - 1990 - Taught by Lutheran Family Services. This course taught methods to prevent crisis behavior when working with emotionally disturbed children and methods for dealing with aggressive behavior.

CPR and First Aid Instructor Course - 1993 - Taught by the American Red Cross. This course prepared me to be an instructor for CPR and First Aid. I was responsible for inservicing of staff at Babcock Center.

Mandt - 1993 and refresher courses - Taught by Babcock Center. This course taught methods for preventing and dealing with aggressive behavior.

National Prader-Willi Conference - 1994 - I attended this conference in Atlanta, Georgia as a representative of Babcock Center.

Omnibus Adult Protection Act - 1996 - This was a full day inservice by medical, police, and government personnel to detail the provisions of and the need for the Omnibus Adult Protection Act.

How To Avoid Being on Sixty Minutes - 1997 - This was a full day seminar concerning preventing being reported to news agencies and methods of dealing with news agencies once they have become involved.

Cultural Diversity - 1997 - This was a full day seminar discussing issues relating to improving the understanding of the benefits of cultural diversity and sensitivity.

Keepers: Catching and Retaining Good Employees - 1998 - A full day seminar that taught interview skills, practices for keeping good employees, and successful management of employees.

Task and Time Management for Administrators - 1998 - A full day seminar that taught skills for managing time and tasks. Also taught ways to help reduce stress and increase productivity for employees.

Computer Skills

I have been a computer user since 1985. I am very proficient with almost all aspects of Apple Macintosh computers. I am also familiar with Windows and UNIX operating systems. I have been an internet user since 1992 and I currently maintain my own web server (astrodawg.com) which includes a personal home page devoted to my personal interests and a site for the Singleton Family Genealogical Home Page. I have also worked part time creating yellow page ads.

I have experience with Photoshop, Pagemaker, Microsoft Word and Works, WordPerfect, ClarisWorks, FileMaker Pro, Lotus 1-2-3, PageMill, GoLive Cyberstudio, Strata 3-D and many other applications. I am usually able to learn any new application very quickly with minimal assistance. I also have experience using a scanner.

I am also familiar with the maintenance and repair of computer hardware and the installation of new hardware including ram, hard drives, logic boards, and other components.
